Prize draw terms
The short version: it is free to enter, buying a report does not improve your chances, and for every 100 reports we sell we draw one winner. If the winner bought a report, we refund it in full. If not, they get a free report.
1. The promoter
The promoter is 4K Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 14234800), registered office 14 Ridgeway, Swinton, Manchester, M27 8QW. Contact: [email protected].
2. No purchase necessary
Entry is free. You do not have to buy anything to enter or to win, and buying a report does not give you an extra entry or a better chance. You do not have to agree to marketing emails to enter.
3. Who can enter
UK residents aged 18 or over. Not open to directors or employees of the promoter, their immediate families, or anyone else professionally connected with running the draw. We may ask the winner for reasonable proof of age and residence.
4. How to enter
- Use the sign-up form on hedgevolt.co.uk, enter your email address and tick "Enter the free prize draw".
- Click the link in the confirmation email we send you. Your entry only counts once you have confirmed it.
One entry per person. Entering with more than one email address, or by automated means, makes all of that person's entries void. Once confirmed, you are entered in every draw held while you stay entered. You can leave at any time from the email settings link in any email we send you; leaving takes you out of draws held after that.
5. Dates
The promotion opens on 30 October 2026 and closes at 31 March 2027, 11pm UK time. Entries confirmed after closing are not counted.
6. When draws happen
- There is one draw for every 100 reports paid for on hedgevolt.co.uk during the promotion. Free reports given as prizes do not count.
- Each draw includes everyone who had confirmed their entry by the time the last report in that batch of 100 was paid for, and who is still entered.
- Each draw takes place within 7 days of its batch being completed.
- After closing, a final draw covers any reports sold since the last draw. If there has been no draw at all by then, the final draw still takes place, so at least one prize is awarded.
7. How the winner is chosen
At random, by a computer using a cryptographically secure random number generator, in the presence of an independent person who is not involved in running the promotion. Each entrant has an equal chance.
8. The prize
One prize per draw:
- If the winner bought a Hedgevolt report during the promotion with the email address they entered with, the prize is a full refund of the price they paid for their most recent such report (£2), to the card they paid with.
- Otherwise, or if that report has already been refunded, the prize is a free Hedgevolt report for one address in England, worth £2.
The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative to a free report. Winning does not affect any other rights you have, including our refund promise.
9. Telling the winner
We email the winner within 7 days of the draw. The winner must reply within 28 days, confirming they meet these terms (and, for a free report, the address they want it for). If they do not, or they are not eligible, the prize is forfeited and we draw another winner from the same entries in the same way. We give the prize within 28 days of the winner's reply.
10. Winners
For each draw, you can ask us for the winner's surname and county by emailing [email protected] within 3 months of the draw. A winner can object to this; if they do, we will still give the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if it asks.
11. Your data
We use your email address to run the draw and to contact you if you win. Entering does not sign you up for marketing. How long we keep entries and draw records is in the privacy notice.
12. General
We may cancel or change the promotion only if something outside our reasonable control makes that necessary, and never in a way that puts entrants at a disadvantage; we will say so on this page. Our decision on any matter about the draw is final, subject to these terms and the law. The promotion is not connected with, or endorsed by, any council or the government. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
